A Popular Choice for Franchisees
Many franchisees not only want to join a business, with the potential for professional growth, but also take an active role in their communities. Franchisees are excited by our Social Purpose Statement, in that we really encourage them to get involved with charitable programs, including the FirstService Relief Fund, designed to assist members of the Pillar To Post family faced with financial struggles, as well as natural disasters. Our Social Purpose Statement is in place because we believe it’s important to motivate our franchisees to give back both to their local community and the Pillar To Post community, and to recognize those who do.
Message from the CEO
Pillar To Post is pleased to be joining with our FirstService sister companies to launch The FirstService Social Purpose program. Service is at the heart of everything that we do and is built into our DNA in so many different ways. I am inspired by the stories we hear of ordinary people making a difference in the service they provide in our communities.
We have launched FirstService Social Purpose to create awareness across the company of all the social good that is being done by employees and franchisees in all our brands so that we can collectively support and enhance these local efforts while inspiring more contributions to social good.
As part of our social purpose program, the FirstService Relief Fund was established to assist our people in times of crisis when they are faced with unavoidable economic hardship. We learned a lot in 2017 about the generosity of our people when two major hurricanes hit the coasts of Florida and Texas. Pillar To Post franchisees and staff from across North America came together in large numbers and helped raise funds for those affected. This program will be available to all employees, franchise owners, and employees of franchisees who require emergency funding and meet specific grant criteria.

FirstService Relief Fund
The FirstService Relief Fund was created with the aim of helping franchisees, and employees of franchisees, who are facing financial struggles following a natural disaster or an unforeseen personal hardship. The FirstService Relief Fund relies primarily on individual donations from franchisees and employees of franchises, along with support from FirstService Corporation. All administrative costs of maintaining the fund will be paid for by FirstService Corporation and 100% of individual donations will be directed to those who quality for a grant.
